ABOUT US

The Coalition for Current Safety Codes (CCSC) was founded by the International Code Council (ICC) and the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) and is aimed at advancing safety by advocating for the adoption of current building, sustainability, electrical and life safety codes. The ICC and the NFPA each have a long history and dedicated members who are devoted to furthering the development of safe and sustainable communities. The work of our memberships has strengthened codes and standards – protecting public safety and promoting sustainability. We are coming together to co-chair this new initiative because of our mutual commitment to public safety. Working together, we plan to create even more public awareness and broader support for the adoption of the codes that protect the health and welfare of our society.
